Description
These needles are redefining the process of self-injection for men who are using intracavernosal injections (for Trimix, Bimix, Quadmix and the likes).
As opposed to the traditional needle used (BD Ultra-Fine ½ inch 1ml insulin syringes – the ones with the orange lids) these needles and syringes are supplied separately so that the patient can draw up with one needle/syringe, dispose of the needle by removing it from the syringe, and then, with a fresh needle inject. By removing the needle which has been blunted by penetrating the rubber bunger of the vial and replacing it the patient experience is one of less discomfort and reduced risk of infection.
The needle pack contains:
- 40x Microlance3 13mm 30G needle tips with 20x 1ml (100 unit with 1u increments marked on them to ensure accurate dosing/adjustment);
- 20 x Luer Lock syringes for intracavernosal use; and
- 20x single use alcohol swabs.
A new and preferred way to inject.
