Description
NEW! The diaphragm inserter + remover
For easy insertion and removal of a diaphragm
Easy insertion and removal of a Caya® or Singa® Diaphragm, easy hooking also with different diaphragm sizes, and an established form based on long-term experiences
The Diaphragm Inserter + Remover makes it easier to insert and remove the Caya or Singa diaphragm. Diaphragms in different sizes can be easily opened and inserted. The curved side of the rod makes it possible to remove the diaphragm even if you cannot reach it easily with your own fingers. The inserter has no sharp points and its shape is based on established, long-term experience with this practical tool.

Clean with soap and water before and after use. If used carefully, the insertion rod is long-lasting and reusable.
Application
- The insertion rod has two different sides. Side 1 is for inserting a diaphragm and side 2 is for removing it. (Fig. 1)
- Hold the insertion rod with one hand. With your other hand, hold the diaphragm on the handle so that it folds up. Now the diaphragm is first clamped on side 1 and then hooked into one of the notches (middle of the rod) with the other side. (Fig. 2)
- The diaphragm should now be folded lengthwise and attached to the insertion rod with the membrane of the diaphragm facing the rod. (Fig. 3)
- Apply approximately 4 ml of the contraceptive gel to the folded diaphragm. (Fig. 4)
- Insert the insertion rod with the diaphragm as deep as possible into the posterior vaginal fornix. The insertion rod with the diaphragm is now about halfway inserted and the diaphragm is no longer visible from the outside. (Fig. 5)
- Rotate the introducer rod to allow the diaphragm to separate from the introducer rod. Gently pull out the insertion rod. (Fig. 6)
- If necessary, feel whether the diaphragm covers the cervix and lies in the niche at the front of the pubic bone. (Fig. 7)
- To remove the diaphragm, insert the insertion rod with the hook (side 2) a few centimeters deep into the vagina. Insert the hook of the rod behind the front edge of the diaphragm and hook it there. This is how you can remove the diaphragm from the vagina. (Fig. 8)
